Pros

KCS was a very good place to work with a significant presence in a very profitable industry. Compensation (salary and bonus) and other additional benefits were very good.

Cons

Short-term focus on quarterly results were always a drag on the overall focus of the company. It deteriorates from the long-term perspective that needs to be in place

Consistent management language and feedback allows for constant improvement of your work and clear expectations. Fantastic process and technology capability that really drove a results culture. Company’s growth story has been truly incredible.

Cons

Stiff culture. Very hierarchical (rarely speak to your boss’s boss). Fairly serious tone most of the time between colleagues.
