Could be better

Pros

There are some really great people who work there. The work is challenging and exciting.

Cons

There is quite a lot infighting between managers and pockets of toxicity here and there between cliques. Plan on investing time in schmoozing with the right people if you want to get a head. It is a very competitive environment, so be prepared to defend your work against jealous co-workers. Favoritism and complacency seem commonplace.

Pros

They had a couple experts and a whole lot of marketing and poor leadership creating very poor culture at many locations. Very much a "good old boys" type culture where internal politics were omnipresent and caustic. A few bad apples at many offices, protected by their buddies in leadership roles, so just horribly toxic at best. Lots of focus on billable hours, operates more like a law firm than consulting engineering firm. Focus on profits with minimal regard for actual impact to clients. The only real success parameter seems to be profits, and everything else falls off.

Cons

Poor leaders that sustain poor and often toxic culture. Not impressed with "leadership" of Jeff Biskup who spent an embarrassing amount of time at one particular large company meeting wanting to talk about adding "swagger" into the business, which was very odd. Longevity does not equate to excellence, and this was glowing example.

Poor Marketing Leadership

Pros

Flexible or hybrid work modes

Cons

Marketing leadership team plays favorites and does nothing to improve the inequity in work load between the Sales Services Team and the rest of the department that they have been aware of for more than three years. Latest layoffs indicate impacted employees were were let go as a result of personal vendetta vs. production/performance and ability to drive revenue.
