Pros

The ability to interact with customers on a personal level. This company has a personal touch to in that it lets you be yourself if you are a people person

Cons

When a product is not be sold or when a product just doesn't taste good. Demonstrating a product is a good thing but when the product is not known it can be a challenge.

Pros

Nice talking to people, some of the demos are interesting and some of your co-workers are a delight. Can be a lot of fun at times....or on a slow aisle at the other end of the store can be deadening... (pray you get up front! A lot more fun and time flies!)

Cons

Favoritism runs rampant. Each location is utterly determined my the Mgr/Supervisor at that store (I worked several locations and rules varied wildly). At my location supervisor was terrified of 'making waves' with corporate- there are TWO companies that demo for Sam's Club, So everyone is worried about losing that account. Sam's club does not give 2 cents about assisting Crossmark (yet we help sales hugely!

Pros

I love that i have a flexible work schedule, which makes it great with school. I like that I don't have to punch a clock, just get the project done by the due date. There is good communication between myself and my supervisor. She is understanding of school obligations and other life obligations. If this is a second job for you it might be worth it.

Cons

The pay is not that much and sometimes assignments can be tedious and monotonous. Sometimes work assignments are far and few in between but when assignments do come in, there are so many its hard to keep up. If this is the only job you have, it is very difficult to make any kind of living.
