Happier before the buyout

Pros

Flexible scheduling (except during the month of December) and the district supervisors are supportive and understanding.

Cons

I wasn't lucky enough to be hired in during the pandemic, when most of the companies raised their starting pay in an effort to attract more workers to replace those who left the workforce. I remained dedicated even knowing that newer less experienced merchandisers were hired in at much more than what I earned. I am paid at $11.30 and new hires were brought in at $13.00 hourly. When I asked for fair compensation, I was turned down. I do enjoy the job, for the most part, and I realize that their business practices aren't illegal, but certainly unethical, in my view. Secondly, their reporting system is awful! I was less stressed when I worked with Lawrence Merchandising and using Natural Insight, but after Crossmark bought out LMS, that went away and we use 1Hub, which is a total wreck. Natural Insight was user friendly and it never caused any issues in reporting. 1Hub is the #1 worst reporting system I've ever encountered, and I've worked for several different merchandising companies. I've discussed this with Field Support and they agree, but nothing ever changed. A year and 4 months of the same issues repeatedly. I'm disappointed in the company's lack of concern regarding a badly needed upgrade to their reporting system. I would expect a company who's been in business as long as they have would want to invest in better technology. Headaches!

Pros

Can't think of even one.

Cons

I met with one person who walked me around a Target Store and pointed out what we did there. That was it, was never shown how to do the job.

No employee appreciation

Pros

Working in stores and meeting people.

Cons

No communication, if you have an issue you are on your own. No appreciation of employees. Take away benefits instead of adding them. Some jobs have very poor instructions.
