Pros
A good work life balance. Very flexible hours, decent management at the lower levels. Good benefits (although you will pay for them).
Cons
Upper management has no real clue of what is happening in the trenches. Pay is on the low end of the salary range for a position. Merit increases almost non-existent, pay increases minimal if they occur at all. After 8 years I was at my same effective salary as 7 years prior. Benefits are tiered, so someone making half as much as you will pay half as much for coverage. Charges for spouse even if you pay for a family plan.
