Pros

Made lasting friendships with coworkers, definitely like the product itself and learned a lot.

Cons

Management micromanages every part of the company and does not seem to want employees to think for themselves. Their approach to running this company is extremely disappointing with entails bullying, favoritism, degrading team members in front of one another, manipulating people, and a terrible amount of gaslighting. The shocking reality is that theses things will continue to happen on all levels without any accountability or action. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

Pros

There are smart and driven people at this company. You can learn a lot in a short period of time. Working hours are long but flexible.

Cons

The value prop is non-existent. Culture is horrendous. People are miserable working insanely long hours, in jobs they aren't qualified for, with pay 15-20% under market. They will try to sell you with the upside of equity, but there is no acquisition or IPO in site. Every department is under staffed. Worst of all as others have mentioned you're expected to feel lucky and grateful for the job. Any scent they get that you're not "dedicated" and they'll fire you.

2021 update: saved nearly 2,000 jobs, $500M+ in revenue headed to $1B. Our next capital raise will be at a valuation in excess of $1B. An employee who joined around the time this review was written could sell their equity for a significant sum today. -- Since our founding in 2016, CSC Generation's consolidated revenues has rapidly grown, with 2019 revenues well in excess of $200M. At high growth companies, it's not uncommon for many departments to be understaffed - we just haven't been in business long enough to have perfected our team and bench. Also, you are correct that an exit/IPO is not in our "near future." However, if you look at recent tech IPOs, you will see that the average company was founded over a decade ago. In the vast majority of these cases, early team members at these companies have done well financially despite the long path to liquidity.
