Pros

Tuition Reimbursement, Offices on almost every corner, Telework possibilities for certain positions

Cons

DOL contract is about to expire and it doesn't look like they're going to win the next bid. Why? We never meet service level, have too many customer complaints and operate without ethics or integrity! Managers sleep with staff members and then promote them to Supervisors in addition to favoritism, nepotism, racism and discrimination if you're different from the managers. For a company that has a contract with the DOL, they violate every law and regulation that the DOL handles.

Pros

Is still a big name for your CV.

Cons

If you are successful, in sales and want to carry on being so, do not join this company. The Central Region is the worst part of CSC. An overwhelmingly negative culture, heavy processes and weak inexperienced leadership ensure any opportunities you might develop are quickly stifled. If you do by some miracle overcome all the odds and get a big deal, they will then jack up your targets to ensure they don´t have to pay you what you are owed in bonus/commission (illegal but they do it anyway). CSC in Central is not the innovative company portrayed on website - they have nothing to sell other than "average resources" for a cheap price (bodyshopping). There is no-one to support you even if you do get a Cyber, App renewal, big data etc project - the German process will kill it. Current "leadership" in Central encourages a culture of nastiness where colleagues undermine each other, spy on each other and where you will be expected to deliver results in 3-4 months or you´ll be kicked out. Happened to many new joiners during my time there. Do not expect any training to help you as you start your new position either. If you are non-white, non Christian, non German... do not join this terrible company. It is a bastion of nastiness with a culture that is rarely seen these days in tech co´s. Total negativity and no loyalty to staff or clients - a horror show. Central Reg leadership has no support from operational leaders in the business which means vicious infighting and net result - increasing financial losses which get bigger each quarter. Leader in Central has no plan for growth and is "completely out of his depth". Only experience prior was in sales with a small software firm. The best you can hope for if you do decide to join CSC is that you are fired quickly so you can get back to working for a decent company where you have a future and a reasonable culture. No-one deserves to do this to themselves... save yourself and your career from CSC in Central. If you are a successful salesperson you will potentially bury your career by joining CSC.

Pros

Clients include high-profile companies in financial industries. Partial Matching 401k.

Cons

medical benefits are expensive for a company of this magnitude. even after busting your butt for many months to make the company $10,000's with your improvements, expect to be told there "will be no raises across the board" for your entire team. Management is more concerned with you helping them do THEIR job rather than assisting you with maintaining a positive work environment in their client's business. Companies are finding other vendors to outsource their work to due to under-staffing and lack of ability to come through with promised support and fulfill their contractual agreements. Pay is very sub-par and raises are out of the question with the loss of business to this company. Technical support, both internal and externally-supplied to clients, is constantly downgraded to new-hires in various third-world countries across the globe. Internal technical support will attempt to contact you at 3am, expecting you to answer their instant messages and phone calls in order to resolve issues. No matter how many 12 hour days you put in, there are at least three people both over you and in other departments demanding you do more and to attend unnecessary and irrelevant meetings in order for them to look better to their own management. Overtime is mandatory. If you have a family, kiss your life goodbye.
