IT Desktop Support for over 5 years. Run Away, Career Suicide

Pros

Mostly stable. Wide range of experience for someone just starting out in the desktop field.

Cons

No pay increase for the last 2 years. Applied for tuition assistance, finally approved over a year later. Lack of communication from management. Too many managers in the pot to give direction, all are remote. Act like you should be thrilled to just have a job with CSC. State the company cannot afford to give merits, yet they are ranked 229 out the Fortune 500, cutting other employees and picking up new contracts. Force you to use 40 hours of vacation by every March, whether you have time or not, making your time go in the hole. My direct manager, whom happens to be 6 states away, seems to not know how to read or write. I have also applied to several local positions within, without even any acknowledgement.

Management doesn't micromanage they give tasks and it up to you to get It done some weeks are 10hrs of work others 65, but in end it works out

Cons

11th worst company to work for need i saymore? The company is in a constant state of change, huge rotation of management, no raises for years, the fat has been trimmed yet they keep pushing, the company has zero advancement.
