      Great students and good coworkers, but very little support for adjunct faculty

      Good hours if you have kids in school Good hourly rate of pay Great atmosphere Good students Good coworkers

      Cons

      Very little advancement opportunities for adjunct instructors No benefits No job security Curriculum was "DIY" with very little support or direction from above Adjunct teachers do the majority of the work for little pay and benefits The system is set up to take advantage of the "drones", the part-time teachers who chase the carrot of potential full-time work that the state can't afford to hire full-time.

      Great students, good programs, nice office staff.

      Cons

      Adjunct lecturers make up over half of Cal State's faculty. That means very low pay and little job security for lecturers.
