      Pros

      Great first job for people getting started in their career. Learned a lot about admin processes that can be transferred to other jobs. environment working with other staff, faculty, and students. You get to know a variety of departments on campus, so building relationships is welcomed. It's overall just a great community and environment to work in. I've held a couple different positions for the campus and my experience ranged from amazing to awful. It really came down to leadership. First manager was kind, supportive, and genuinely cared for the staff. The other was narcissistic, abusive, and just overall terrible.

      Cons

      Management can be make it or break it! Sometimes no clear leadership values in place. Lack of advancement opportunities and depending on the position/department funding they pay can be very low. They do not really promote from within and prefer outside candidates.
