Pros

I didn't like anything about working here!!

Cons

The hours suck. They have mandatory overtime. The days are long. Management is horrible!! If you need time off they are harsh about it. I have never once worked for a company any worse than Caremark! They are always hiring because people are constantly quitting!!

Pros

I like my staff members, but that has nothing to do with this company.

Cons

Paychecks are frequently incorrect I am constantly asked to do things I am not paid for (ex. driving to another store farther away to pick up supplies or at home computer training) The pharmacy is always understaffed. I never have enough time to take my scheduled breaks or use the restroom.

Pros

I have friendly co workers. CVS is a great job for those who love to help others. A lot of the customers are very friendly. Some call me by my name, which makes transactions seem personal. CVS is very accommodating when it comes to suiting your schedule. Because no one works the same days each week, changes to your time of availability can be accommodated. As a part time cashier, I sometimes get about 23 hours per week and sometimes 33 hours per week. Some supervisors and managers are nice. The job is never boring. A lot of promotion opportunities. Training for higher positions can easily be completed online. Employees get 30% off CVS brand items, 20% non CVS brand items. The 15 minute break per 6 hour shift (or two 15 minute break per 8 hour shift) are paid breaks.

Cons

Orientation is very long. It's 12 hours long and divided in two days. The raise is only 2% per year. If you don't have much job experience when you get hired at CVS, your hourly wage might be as low as minimum wage. Some managers don't have realistic expectations and are unreasonable. As a cashier, I am on my feet all day. Meal breaks are only 30 minutes long and are unpaid breaks. I'm not getting the best training due to the store being too busy. Store is a bit disorganized. Online assessments are very time consuming.
