Pros

The pay is ok. That is the only pro to speak of.

Cons

Management is useless. What we have for support on calls is useless. People are unfavorly targeted. Even though the targeting is widely recognized, nothing is done when it is brought to management. We get reprimanded for going to the bathroom. They try to raise service levels in ways that are detrimental to morale. Different teams go by different rules. Same circumstances for different employees are treated differently and unfairly. If morale for one person is low (even though their quality is high) they don't look into it they actually reprimand them for being negative. They higher any person off the street. Addicted to crack with creeper tendencies? You will fit in right here. Expect to brown nose and be mediocre to achieve recognition.

Pros

Decent pay, and they say (though I wasn't there long enough to experience it) that there is opportunity for advancement.

Cons

-Management believes that you can control traffic. Was scolded when I came in 15-min late, but if I left my house 15-min early, then I wound up 40-min early for my shift and was not allowed to clock in, instead made to wait downstairs in the cafeteria for nearly an hour every day. -Untruthful during the interview and training process. Was told in both that there was mandatory overtime, turns out that isn't available until you've worked there 8+ months. Was also told my shift would be 7am-3pm but was immediately changed to 9am-5pm, which led to the traffic fiasco. -Utter lack of concern for the patient: I had a very young organ transplant patient whose prescription came to me and her doctor's awful handwriting meant we needed clarification. After three unsuccessful attempts, procedure is to just send the script back to the patient, but my heart told me that giving a sick woman paper was just wrong. I tried consulting a pharmacist, who could have made a clinical judgment call, but instead was told: "Look, I know you're trying to be nice, but you're just wasting time." Patient health and safety is a waste of time. Yep, glad I got out of there.

Pros

Co-workers are the only redeeming factor. Most pharmacists are super nice, but that really has nothing to do with the company itself. Front store and technicians usually nice to work with as well. That's literally the only good thing about this company.

Cons

Upper management never gives enough staff hours. Always understaffed and overworked. We would joke as employees that CVS should make this their motto. Grossly underpaid compared to anywhere else....literally anywhere. They also pay employees that transfer from other stores more than their own staff. If you have 2 years experience with CVS, you WILL get paid less than the employee who has 2 years experience, but transferred from Walgreens. Get used to it or leave. I left. The raises are horrific. A co-worker had worked there for 7 years and was an amazing employee. Our manager had to FIGHT his butt off to get her like a 20 cent raise. This is not a career. They do not value your work or your time. She left too. They try to skip your breaks and lunch. They are so understaffed that it makes it near impossible to take your breaks. You feel like your letting your entire team down just for taking a 15 minute lunch break. They always mess up your check. Make sure they pay you for every last hour. The clock in system is not accurate and if your not scheduled in their computer....say you come in on your day off to cover for someone else, they will try to 'forget'. I think they set up the system like that in purpose. Upper management are duds... Just completely stupid. Everyone knows it. Kind of a running joke that they are complete fools who know absolutely nothing. They will lie. The will screw you. Please, please, please don't ever work for free for this company. I swear they set it up bc they know you care about your team so you will stay late and come early and do everything possible to not let your team fail. Let CVS fail. Make them provide the staff they need, they will Never do it if people are covering when they shouldn't be. I saw this happen constantly.
