Pros

- Good co-workers and Pharmacists who understand the stress and knows how to laugh at it. - Honestly, this job toughens you up very quickly if you stick it out long enough. You will definitely learn how to work under stress.

Cons

- Horrible pay for the work and stress we are put under. - Hours get cut for no reason. -Depending on location and culture of your store, you may not be so lucky with having good coworkers/pharmacists to work with. Even at this store, some of the old techs that left were trash... - Always understaffed and PIC won't interview/hire new techs - Normally I get along with most customers even in my previous retail roles, but some of these customers get so nasty and entitled it's ridiculous. - After 5 years here and only get raises in increments of 25 cents - Got certified towards the end of 2023 and found out they don't give raises for newly certified techs. You have to either request one through your PIC who talks to the DM who then talks to upper managements. Or you apply internally to an advanced tech role such as Lead Tech or Inventory Management. Got certified about 3 months ago and still no word on my request from anyone...

Pros

Only pros were decent pay/remote work from home. I did learn about Medicare/Medicaid, which was informing.

Cons

Overly micromanaged and ganged up on. If you enjoy a micromanaged atmosphere, then this is for your. Once you're "on the floor" the "help" you receive is basically "did you check your resources?" and while you're hoping to receive some guidance, you've got a client on the phone you have to check back with every 2 minutes. Also can't be on "after call work" for more than 2 minutes before you are singled out in the chat. There were some decent people I worked with, but the hostile environment created by a few in the chat made it pretty impossible to feel comfortable. While I enjoy helping others and some of the negative attitudes etc from callers didn't get to me, it was my co-workers' attitudes that was difficult to understand/accept. They also promote they are willing to help you move to other departments if that is what you wanted. I wanted to go part time and never received any information from my supervisor.
