Pros

Competitive pay. Flexible hours although managers are required to close 2 times per week and work 4 weekend days. Not always enforced.

Cons

No payroll. Manager only salary person in store, as hours are cut every year...managers are expected to make up for the work that isn't complete. There is high manager turnover so the newer managers are not give the time and training needed to be successful. Staff are low paid and expected to work hard. Always compared to Trader Joes and In & Out that pay their employees much more.

I enjoy my job, but moving up in the company is discouraging because Store Manager put in a lot of hours.

Pros

Good Benefits, Flexible Schedule, People, and a lot of good systems that would work if we consistently had the hours to do them.

Cons

Open 365 days of the year which includes Christmas so you work a lot of Holidays. Not enough payroll hours to accomplish tasks so you're always playing catch up. Pay is average to below average even for retail.

the pay scale is satisfactory

Cons

The management is completely involved with improving their own careers. Although they say they want to be a "hometown" pharmacy they care nothing about the customers, only the metrics which must be met. The management I dealt with was untrustworthy and the pharmacist's value depended only on the metrics(numbers) of their store.
