Cons
Dealing with rude customers. Most customers are actually polite and understanding, but of course it's the small percentage of terrible ones that stick out the most. As others have stated, the company is too "top heavy". Management above the DM level is way too disconnected from actual store operations and they don't care about rank-and-file employees. Their sale system "ExtraCare" is confusing and misleading, it frustrates many customers and employees alike. There is no system for acknowledging and rewarding the hard work of store-level employees, therefore most employees feel the company doesn't care about them.
