Pros

Good compensation and stable company. Our Vision, Mission, and Core Values, as well as the leadership and engagement concepts are great on paper.

Cons

Business needs to improve on the practice what you preach concept. Core values are not in line with the current leadership practices in the business.

Pros

Most of the pharmacist submit themselves to the harsh environment and the degrading evaluations because of the flexibility in work hours. There are numbers married couples and relatives employed by the company. This has lead to an atmosphere of unfairness and favoritism. It is work environment that one has to experience to gasp the debt of the problems.

Cons

Employers are not treated with respect, great work ethics are not valued. The entire facility is run based on numbers, not professionalism nor team effort. Employees are allowed to disrespect other employees and managers are rude and degrading. No matter how much work you do the bar will simply be raised higher so that goals and expectations can never be achieved. Pharmacy is extremely demanding and the hours are often long. Caremark/CVS uses this to keep both its technicians and pharmacist subordinate in harsh and cruel environment.

Pros

CVS offers a very good benefits package. Dental, medical and eye care are provided at a very reasonable cost to the employee.

Cons

Depending upon the manager of the store, employees are worked like pack mules. The pay is not enough to cover basic living expenses and the work schedule makes it nearly impossible to take a second job. Offering customer service interfers with completing all the required tasks for each day. Not offering customer service gets the store low marks. There aren't enough employees in stores to allow a cashier to even go pee during the day. FREEZE ON PAY RAISES - as if we aren't already giving the company our time they opt to humiliate us even further by letting us work two years without any pay raise. Betcha Tom got his raise.
