Pros

Great benefits in Union A stores, PTO, Vacation, guaranteed raises with contract

Cons

Inhumane treatment of all store level employees, CVS only priority is stock holders, never their employees and views customers as dollar signs. Only "Health" issues that concern CVS is their bank accounts. Huge costly merger is sinking co. which has caused many to flee due to unrealistic expectations.

Pros

No limits on 401k or stock options. $500 per year given to your HSA if you pass a simple screening.

Cons

Everything else. Only people who are genuine are the front line employees like clerks and techs. Brutal, cutthroat environment. Often not even giving raises to pharmacists. They only care about bizarre performance metrics, not about the customers, actual profits, or employee relations.

Pros

Worked with some great staff members, really enjoyed most of my team.

Cons

Zero training, zero time for training, ran the store multiple times working open to close 6-7 days a week because they fired store managers or the store managers quit. Zero appreciation for anything that you did. Felt awful for our pharmacy staff because budget kept getting cut and they had no staff at an extremely busy location. Front end had budget cuts as well, because cvs keeps buying out other pharmacies and insurance companies, and apparently can't afford to employ their staff. Cashiers at my locations were lucky to get 10 hrs a week( and there were only 2 of them), but that didn't stop corporate management from wanting insane amounts of work done. If you accept a job here you will have no work life balance and you will be taken advantage of. If you are female you will deal with blatant sexisim and struggle to advance simply because you are not male. The 4th store manager they put at my location in a year and a half was the final nail in the coffin. If I could rate them a zero I would.
