Pros

Some employees truly give 125% of themselves to go above and beyond daily, but mainly it's for their direct colleagues, not to support the organization itself.

Cons

Customer facing employees face an unrealistically high stress work environment in contrast to meager hourly pay rates, leading to overworked and undervalued employees. Poor work culture in contrast to other organizations within this industry.

Pros

Some customers are nice, some co workers are nice, pay starts at 11$/hr

Cons

Two faced worker(s) lie and are believed, no one cares if you care, get a void might as well sign your death warrant, crappy AC/heater system, money isn’t worth the crap you have to put up with, hours are ridiculous, if you request a day off a MONTH in advance you will be denied but will only find out when the schedule is made, There’s no chance of getting promoted if your going to school for literally anything but pharmaceuticals, upper management is a joke, wastes paper and plastic every week, employee discounts make the prices the same as Walmart or anywhere else, get to hear “well the tag says...” easily 20x a week, work with a checkout system so old the original company no longer exists, have customers whine and complaine about % off coupons and why they don’t work, have customers complain why the bogo half sale is still a sale even if you get 1, have customers complain...... , have rude customers threaten your job when you won’t accept a coupon, have to cleanusing the worlds worst vaccums, having to clean the worlds ugliest carpet, having to listen to the same 40 songs over and over and over every day you work, having to deal with vendors who don’t do their job correctly, having to deal with others who don’t do their job correctly, DONT WORK AT CVS

Pros

Coworkers are great. Benefits are on par with other large employers.

Cons

Leadership culture. PBM is managed by leaders who who surround themselves with yes-men and manage by fear. People are terrified of their leaders and spend so much time worried about their VP/SVP's reaction to anything that they are afraid to get anything done. If you did not come from Retail and are not part of that inner circle you will go nowhere. No work life balance. Systems are antiquated and the company will not invest in better technology to maintain a good customer / employee experience. IT lifecycle is horrendously slow. Pay at the leadership level is not competitive, which forces leaders to hire people without the sufficient skills to really do the job. There is no investment in leader development once they are hired. Company is top heavy and is launching an expense reduction program in 2019. Company has committed major savings (translates to headcount savings) due to the Aetna acquisition in 2019-2020.
