Pros

Lots of opportunity for learning and growth, company is innovative, solid leadership team taking company in a positive direction (upward), telecommuting/flexible hours

Cons

No real work-life balance, minimal pay increases (even with promotions), college grads with little experience are getting hired for more than senior, experienced professionals, too much internal red tape makes it difficult to get work done, company often reorganizes and cuts employees (including strong performers) without notice

Pros

Ability to work alone in a retail health clinic setting. Compensation and benefits are fair. Employer 401k match is 5%. Generous CME and DEA reimbursement. Part of an established, reputable company. Great job for new grads due to very strict structure.

Cons

Too many and too frequent changes. I had five managers in one year. High turnover due to minimum independent practice, weekend, holiday, and on-call requirements, and requiring providers to float to clinics not in their area. Primary focus seems to be number of patients seen per day and revenue over provider satisfaction.

Pros

Compensation is at level of comparably sized companies.

Cons

BA Management is not professional. When there are issues, instead of addressing the problem, they add additional work/worksheet/template to be filled out. Mgmt is sloppy, and unwilling to go to bat for direct reports or even be consistent in maintaining the BA CoE guidelines on a project. Mgmt mandates unrealistic deadline that result in EXTREME amounts of overttime consistently - ex. Until 8pm to 11 pm, or weekend work on a regular basis - it is NOT an exception, and it is across the enterprise. CVS tried to deliver most of their project work in about a six month time frame, so they drive employees to do a year's volume in that six months. The result is that people are overly aggressive, short tempered. My colleagues work hard, but mgmt perpetuates a sense of panic and dissatisfaction. Though there is an internal "atta boy" recognition program, the daily feedback from BA Mgmt is dread, low key threat, critical attitude, not peer respect. Though labled as "perpetual improvement" from Sr. Mgmt there is really just an atmosphere of perpetual fingerpointing, criticizm, and cya - especially from the mgmt level. Very toxic environment.
