Pros

-Some of the hardest people you will ever work with (everyone has to pull their weight) -Can move up in the company pretty quickly (since everyone is always quitting or getting fired)

Cons

-Very minimal employee benefits -Tight budget means small workforce (1 person doing the job for 10 people) -Any questions or concerns to corporate gets little to no response -Our store would get robbed on a regular basis but CVS does not want to spend money on LP or allow us to close earlier (no regard for employee safety)

Pros

Excellent pay rate and a great team culture with your immediate colleagues.

Cons

This company puts customers, not its employees, first. You will work long hours and never eat or use the restroom. Corporate tells pharmacists they can take a break...but it won't happen. They constantly add more projects and programs without giving you more help to implement them or fixing the currently broken ones. For example, the computer system would have prescription images disappear, yet corporate would keep rolling out new programs (like ScriptSync) without fixing it. Guess what? ScriptSync sucks too! Many programs ask you to harass your patients and customers...like doing "PCQ calls." These are calls where you ask patients if they want to refill a prescription that is past due to be refilled. CVS claims this helps with adherence. It's a good idea, but some people take medication only when needed, and others have caretakers managing their medications. This wouldn't be a problem if I could simply un-enroll patients from this "PCQ" system, but corporate doesn't trust its own pharmacists... you have to tell the patient to call a 1-800 number to have themselves taken off the PCQ list. Absolutely ridiculous. To control inventory, pharmacists can't order everything they need without calling an ordering center every business day. This ordering center has a technician that doesn't know anything about drugs. You have to argue and barter with this person just to get the meds your patients need.

Pros

your co workers and sometimes managers are nice and sometimes helpful... discounts are somewhat decent. Not much other than that.

Cons

Not great if you want to grow in your career. Old technology and no "budget" for learning new things. Everyone one is insanely overworked Expect calls at all hours of the day because of the offshore teams Expect to learn how to do things the wrong way.. and the old way.
