Minimal training, insane hours

Pros

This job is great for someone looking for their first job.

Cons

Several former coworkers were there for 5+ years with non-existent career opportunities outside of moving to the pharmacy. If you interview for part-time, they will start scheduling you for more hours than you agreed to and will tell you that it's your job to have someone else take those hours. The job training is extremely minimal outside of the pointless company information seminar they make you take that's completely unrelated to the job itself. You will be expected to meet weekly benchmarks on greeting, customer service, out-of-stock items and store appearance - most of which is influenced by your coworkers during your shifts as well, and is not an actual assessment of your individual skill. Management was completely out of touch which how the store actually operated.

Pros

-Flexible Schedule (I mostly worked two nights a week during school year and full time in the summers) - mostly low stress job

Cons

-often it is only you working with a supervisor, who could be working on something in the back so you're basically alone for hours. -Supervisors are extremely underpaid and overworked. -large employee turnover
