Pros
Remote Work: You are able to work fully remote which enables you to design your own life balance around your work schedule. I've worked full-time for CXT the last 19 months. In that time I've literally worked in every part of the country, and done/seen more incredible things than I could have ever imagined on my 32 years of life. Its truly the balance between personal life and professional life that I've always envisioned. You put in a solid 40, or even 40+ when its occasionally needed, and you are rewarded with a balance that no other company I've ever worked for can provide. If you want to knock out our scheduled shift and ticket load, then go skiing in the high rockies, or run 20 miles on the trail, this is the company that can make it happen. Team: In the years of my career I've always been conflicted as to whether I actually felt like part of a "team". Today, I can say, with certainty, that the team I am on right now is the equivalent of an Olympic Running Relay Team on the longest route in history. We are streamlined, operate efficiently, and have a passion for encouraging one another to learn the next thing that will make us better. My teammates (and folks from other teams in the company) are some of the best people, and I look forward to interacting with them everyday. The Future: While every company has its flaws, CXT actually seems to have a solid plan to handle adaptation in the industry and plans to patch existing flaws in it's product in a very reasonable timeline.
Cons
Physical Meetings/Problems of Working Remote: I've only been able to meet a couple of people personally and physically since my time with the company. Despite those visits being influential, and very positive, I wish I could meet more of the people I work with since you can't replace in-person human interaction. Its not needed for the day-to-day operations, but it would probably help in employee moral to actually meet your co-workers and know that your striving towards the same goals. Bringing everyone together in one place, at one time would probably be greatly influential to different teams interacting with other teams they may not usually communicate with on that level. Salary: Salary is on the lower end of the spectrum for the industry but this is greatly overshadowed by the freedom you get with working remote. After all, money can't buy happiness and I just think of how much gas money + stress you Im saving not having to commute.
