      Good place to work if you like oppressive managers

      Pros

      The company itself loved to give back to the community and give recognition to their employees.

      Cons

      Because I was a cashier I had many people above me. I have a cash lead, a front-end manager, a soft lines manager, our HR department and then the stores general manager. Everyone besides the front-end manager let the job go to their heads. They were the rudest people ever. If you had anything to say they wouldn't give you the time of day.

      Pros

      Good people to work with.The job was a lot of fun because of the nature of what is sold. Everyone was easy going.

      Cons

      Hard to get ahead. I never got a raise in the entire time I was working there. Some departments (guns) think they are better than everyone else.

      Pros

      We get good discounts on product and have friends & family weekends when we can share our discounts. work with other outdoor people. thorough training.

      Cons

      Schedules - part-time people get to work only one day each weekend if they give it as their availability but full-time people have to have open availability. When hours go down, the work goes up.
