      Harrahs Laughlin - the best on the River

      Pros

      The best thing about working at Harrahs is the people. From the general manager to the kitchen worker you will always be greeted in the hallway with a smail and a hello. I feel like I'm treated with respect and value by the managment.

      Cons

      The toughest thing about working here or any of the casinos is that you're making 1/2 the hourly wage that they make in Las Vegas for the exact same job. Grown people shouldn't be making $8-$9 an hour...and that's some of the better paid hourly workers.

      A Mixed Bag

      Pros

      Easy to get a job. Pay is decent for what you do. (Basically a Bank Teller.) Breaks and days off are adhered to.

      Cons

      Schedule. Lack of Communication. Everything remains the same, despite constant feedback on how to improve company. Lack of upward Mobility. The customers are really hard to deal with at times.

      Pros

      The work is easy - you deal cards. Interesting people and friendly coworkers. Considering the job requirements, the pay is very good when you have work.

      Cons

      Work is sporratic - you don't always get it. The job is repetative. Advancement is difficult do to limited openings above.
