Pros

Massive business with numerous learning opportunities Free meals every day at employee dinning room Dealt with so many smart people who made me better Continued growth strategy

Cons

With company being very good at expense management, the less savvy leaders would sometimes sacrifice revenue to save expenses. This is fine, as long as three revenue loss is less than the expense savings, but they did not know. Also there are individuals who invest to attract revenue and not understand it was a dilution of another area and overall profit could be less.

Pros

Bought up the best brands in the industry (Caesars, Horseshoe) because they (Harrah's) couldn't compete and then systematically destroyed them.

Cons

Many of the properties are dated and in need of drastic repairs and updates, but there is no capital for any properties other than Las Vegas. Have completely diluted the Horseshoe brand, building a Horseshoe everywhere means there is nothing special about Horseshoe anymore, it may as well be a Walgreens. Too much money sunk into Total Rewards program which has about as much appeal to customers as a Kroger discount card. Eliminated virtually all services and cut hours of venues to the point that there is really no reason a customer would want to stay at one of the properties.
