Pros

Lots of different people whom are in the same boat as you are. Read on.

Cons

Lots of miserable, sloppy employees who eat every hour then complain about the FREE food. Manegement "threatens" the jobs when angry about something. Also magegment(sp) is very, very racial when handing out job duties. Lays off regular workers in off season only to hire foriegn workers for cheaper pay. This is a tax break for Harrahs since neither pay taxes on these wages.

Pros

Its a job that offers some Teamster positions. With teamsters on your back, you will get a pention, healthcare, and the ability to greave all the stuff management tries to put you through.

Cons

Management. The management at Harrah's is the worst out of any place i've ever worked at. Currently im in dispute (with the back of teamsters) a harrassment against both my managers. They dont try to incurage people at all. The people that do the most work, and try to be on top of everything ARE the people that get compained to the most. The people that dont do ANYTHING are the ones that never get complained to. So if your extremely lazy, this is a good company for you. Working Conditions are the worst i've worked at also. I would complain to my bosses about how sewage pipes would be leaking, and they would form some make shift funnel into a trash can and wait till it overflows. This continued till I had e-mailed OSHA and the health department. They convently both showed up on the same day, had Harrah's fix it, and fined them. Mangement is always moody to employees, and seriously, makes it part of their day to piss off every employee. They seriously.. go out the their way. I look forward to the days I never see my managers, cause those are the only days at work, that are fun, and usually are the days all the employees work harder. Also expect Harrah's to try to nickle and dime everything. They used to give us quarterly bonuses called CSA bonuses. Usually my casino would get the full amount, 200 bucks. But now they nickle and time it with taxes etc, and your $200 bonus turns out to be a check of around 60-80 bucks. Also you will notice from person to person, that check number is different. Like so and so, that work the same amount of days, just say took 2 days of vacation that quarter, got 70 bucks, and so and so took the same 2 days off, and his check will be 120 bucks. These dont go off seniority or anything. Also good luck on getting days off, management plays whos their favorite employee. We do go off seniority. but like in Valet we are aloud 3-4 people off per day on vacation. Management has been known to frequently only give 1 sometimes 2 people off, and even none, even if its not a peak day or a busy one. All I can say, is management is a joke.
