Company is on a sharp decline

Recommend
CEO approval
Business Outlook

Pros

good benefits and PTO, good location.

Cons

As many reviews have already mentioned the transition to Non-exempt of 657 employees has drastically damaged morale. Many of our best and brightest have already left or are in the process of leaving the organization because they know they'll be treated better elsewhere. Leadership is sadly handicapped here both in terms of their own capabilities and in terms of what they are allowed to do based on the structure of the organization. Sr. Leadership is sub par at best and continue to put forward poor policies and programs.

Hostile Work Enviroment

Business Outlook

Pros

Benefits are decent and there are telework positions

Cons

All positions are now hourly, HR has a high turn over and run a “friends and family” environment. Complaints are not taken seriously and I have unfortunately witnessed a series of retaliation related events in various departments... specifically and most recently from the current CIO, COO and HR Reps which has been a huge disappointment. Very uncomfortable gossip culture. Managers are not held accountable for bad performance, dependent mistakes or unacceptable behavior. Very little career growth opportunity.

Transition to hourly status

Pros

Companay has pretty good benefits.

Cons

Transition to hourly status is such a horrible business decision. No input from employees. Morale is at an all time low. Many are saying they will be going to Labor Union or DOL to file complaints. Never seen a high level clinician like myself be treated like a factory worker. Most are silent now as they don't want to speak up and be retaliated against but the storm is coming and CalOptima will be left with no one as many plan to leave. No other company would treat us like this. Company will try to find out who wrote this but that is retaliation. We know our rights to grieve and to do it confidentially and without retaliation. It is also called free speech. Please share with Board.
