Pros

- Real hands on experience - Tool familiarity and knowledge - Travel all over California and see beautiful sights while on the job - A taste of different career paths - A wide range of opportunities that are typically free (Obtaining different certs, EMT cert for example depending on the center.) - Hiking and lots of it - Cheap living if at residential centers - Saving the planet

Cons

- Hard work (seriously, most likely nothing you’ve done before.) - Low pay - Unreliable equipment due to state budget constraints - Possible unsanitary living conditions if at residential center
