-Consistent pay, 40 hours a week -Health benefits and insurance -Leadership is valued (promotion to crew specialist or leader is possible) -Learn to work in a diverse crew to perform intensive labor skills (chainsaw operation, dry stone masonry, fence installation, flood training, camp construction/removal)

Pros

Lots of variety of things to do and learn. Travel is possible. Relatively small number of people do you can get to know some. Many people are open to discussion.

Cons

Some leadership won't talk to staff below them. If you aren't in with people you will find life at work bad. Some people hired are because of friends or family. They don't have the skills for the job. Hired people aren't very good and no one makes them any better. So many have a job here waiting for retirement so nothing will get done.
