Some challenging engineering tasks. Decent benefits.

Cons

Supervisors and managers are powerless to fire bad employees. Some supervisors are abusive - not show up at work or stealing state time. Larger offices are very toxic, especially in Sacramento, Richmond, San Diego, Riverside, and Los Angeles.
