Great pay and benefits. and some very good people who are trying to do the right thing in the trenches.

Cons

Crazy management with changing goals. The company is trying to be nimble, which is a good thing, however, it just ends up being chaotic as the goals keep changing.

Management in Prof Svcs is a JOKE!

Pros

Talented pool of engineers, although their lives are ruined by awful managers.

Cons

Managenemt, including the senior folk are toying with engineers that work for them. With lay-offs happening since November 2017 we have seen the worst decisions being made especially in the Prof Svcs department, when it comes to whom to fire and whom to keep. Absolutely Ridiculuous!! Don't the upper management see that one of them is only protecting his (weak) friends while letting go talented engineers? Insane!! Calix used to be much better than this.

Pros

Many good employees with good knowledge and work ethics. CEO seems has a good vision.

Cons

Too many chiefs such as VPs, yet lack of sound product strategy. Too many small customers that requiring attention but not generating enough revenue. Some poor mid-level managers. Never been been profitable for since IPO so stock has been down to single digit.
