Pros

Things will be peachy for the first few years. Keep your head down, do your work and you will appear to be rewarded well. But be wary.

Cons

If you do an excellent job for a few years, beware that they will start looking to derail your career to bring in lower paid employees. They will also fight unemployment claims but will fail to even show up at the review/appeal. Just watch your back.

Pros

The benefits are awesome! However, they are gearing towards having the employees pay a larger portion of the health premiums. The bonuses are very nice too.

Cons

Corporate atmosphere is very different from the other office or plant locations.

Pros

Great Benefits and decent pay Good coworkers at the base levels

Cons

Senior Mgmt is creating a 'good old boys club' where you are not wanted if you are not already a member. Chances of promotion and career advancement nonexistent. The CEO came in and concerns himself more with inspecting power plants than getting involved in what really drives the business. The amount of cluelessness he exudes with regard to actual contracts and transactions is stunning for someone at his level. I know he is smarter than he portrays, but he does not instill confidence at all in his employees. Amazingly, he honestly believes he does instill this confidence. Information sharing in this company is very bad, politics is very bad, and the team atmosphere that used to be decent has declined measurably. Traders are told to make money without being given latitude to trade (ie - collateral and credit), are not adequately rewarded for taking risk and making money, and then dinged when they don't make money. All in all, long term - a candidate for bankruptcy again before too long. Everything that they are 'selling' to Wall Street is based on fantasy, as all their asset values are based on things that never happen in the real world.
