Pros

None. Run away as fast as you can.

Cons

They hemorrhage money when a child could see their obvious problems a mile away. They slap bandaids on everything rather than ever improving their products. They lay off the highest performing employees and keep the dead weight. Bonuses are a joke now. Nothing they do makes any sense and it shows.

Pros

This review reflects my experience. Compensation felt below market while expectations were sky-high. The workweek was dominated by meetings, including a weekly planning session that routinely ran around four hours. Those marathon “planning” calls didn’t translate to progress—they just siphoned the time needed to get things done. Day-to-day, I dealt with close, nitpicky oversight that discouraged initiative and slowed decision-making. The result was a culture of over-planning and under-delivering: lots of talk, very little execution, and not enough trust in the people hired to do the work. If you value focused time, fair pay, and reasonable autonomy, this environment will be frustrating.

Cons

My experience at Cambium Learning Group was overwhelmingly negative: underpay relative to expectations, a calendar eaten alive by meetings (including a weekly four-hour planning slog), and a management style that nitpicks and micromanages instead of enabling execution. The obsession with planning left almost no time for actual work. Hard pass.
