Thank you for your review. Leading a company can be very rewarding, but at the same time challenging. While we can’t make everyone happy, we do our best to lead by example, positively motivate each employee, create safe and collaborative work environments and provide a comprehensive benefits package, one that includes 401k employer match and profit sharing. You mentioned policies and procedures as a primary concern. At Cambria, we believe in a high standard of excellence and among our highest priorities is maintaining our teams’ safety. This past March, we reached a milestone of 5 years injury-free at our plant in Le Sueur. This milestone is thanks to many, many employees working together to develop hundreds of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure all of our employees are safe and clearly understand our policies and procedures. It is those SOPs that we use every day to make the best quartz countertops in the world. Your comments are appreciated in our continued commitment to the safety and well-being of our valued employees. Thank you for your review. Cambria Management

Pros

Pay is decent. The product Cambria manufacturers is beautiful, durable and American made.

Cons

Where do I even begin? There is no hybrid flexibility, no merit increases or bonuses. For the past few months, there have been 1-3 employees laid off every week. There are no formal announcements or explanations why it is happening; you will simply just notice empty desks throughout your floor and be told it is all "performance based and don't ask questions". Nothing can move forward without the approval of at least 10 people. Even when those people make the decision to proceed, it can be vetoed or completely changed by upper management at any time. It really discredits the hard work and experience those 10+ people have put into the project. CEO and other executives have unrealistic expectations of timelines. They will request that a project that should take a week or two be done in a day. Then, after everyone scrambles to make it happen, decide that it isn't necessary and we should scrap it. Above and beyond the constant bullying and toxicity of the employees (especially those that have been here more than a couple years), the company has outrageous rules such as: No out of office auto reply (you must appear available at ALL times), no voice-mails allowed, no hanging your coat on your chair (appearances), no walking on the grass, no lunch boxes in the refrigerator and more. If you want to work in a place with constant turnover, you do not matter, you are afraid to speak up against anything and love being micromanaged, Cambria is perfect for you. If not, run far FAR away!!!!

Pros

The product is phenomenal and durable.

Cons

Work-life balance is non-existent! You will work holidays that other companies do not work. Huge on micromanaging and no flexibility when it comes to working from home. They will not give you a raise but will add on more duties. You will be obligated to do an annual review and they focus only on the negative. When applying for this position they will sell you that it’s so easy to move up and they encourage it. But it reality, you stay stuck in the same position with no raise because you did one negative thing in your review. They tell you you will be cross trained so that way they don’t need to hire another person. Just to pile more responsibilities on one person with no compensation. But you’ll get a pizza party if you make goals! The culture is toxic and leadership is aware of it and does not care. They turn a blind eye to all issues and think an apology will be sufficient. I lost faith in leadership when they did nothing when I filed harassment. The health insurance is a joke. The premium is so high and you never make your deductible. The insanely expensive insurance barely covers anything so a lot of co-pay happens. Maternity leave does not exist in this company either. Which is outrageous for such a successful company.
