Pros

Benefits, PTO, quality of properties.

Cons

No support from upper management, especially in the AROC market. No development of team members at local level, unless you are liked by regional leadership. Regionals never visit properties unless it’s a walk with the upper leadership team. In 2019 my regional has been to my property 4 times, and those times were during property walks. There are two Camden cultures.

Guest Suites, Flexible Schedule, Decent Health Benefits, Team Oriented, Beautiful Communities. Discounted Housing

Cons

FAVORITISM. Lack of growth. The Orlando market is like a high school, you have cliques and people gossip constantly. Camden boasts a great work culture and there are SERIOUS flaws with some of the team members in Orlando. There is no point in contacting HR because concerns are often swept under the rug and no real action is taken. In the years I've worked here I have been sexually harassed, bullied, and retaliated against. It makes for an unpleasant work environment and I know of many others who have had a similar experience. Unfortunately, with my current financial situation I am stuck making it work or I would have left a long time ago.

Good Company Overall

Pros

Good open-door policy. Awesome company culture and they give back to the community. The perks are great from guest suites, year end bonuses, and employee fun days.

Cons

Career advancement is based on favoritism. If you are not “memorable” then all your hard work and effort will be for nothing. On some occasions it seems that even when you bring an issue to HR or upper management no action is taken.
