Cameron company as a whole is pretty good, but my Process Systems division is not doing well

Pros

Strong technological company with a lot of patents and copyrights. Cameron has got a good name within the industry. Good opportunities for growth and personal training. Good work culture. Strong 401-K plan and competitive salary package.

Cons

This is concerning only the Process Systems division. The management did not do a good job of forecasting and hired a lot of employees in the last 3 years. Now when we did not get the anticipated projects for the past year and a half, they had to lay-off a bunch of people. They still do not have any major projects. This is relatively new division of Cameron formed by acquiring and merging two other companies. They did not do a good job of merging the companies and they are now suffering the consequences.

Over all a good Company, made a lot of friends over 10 years. Decent pay lot of career options.

Cons

Top heavy with many layers, too many groups. To many procedures, forms, softwares. Too many changes in procedures , too many changes in management both at senior level and divisional level over too short time. No clear direction on five year plan.

Friendly and casual but firm working environment. Good yearly EBIDTA for successful company performance. Promotes from within

Salaried employees were made to work many overtime hours. Most months had 60 hour work weeks.
