Pros

Pay and hours were okay, store employees were very down to earth. The overall customer base was very pleasant to deal with.

Cons

Lot's of family members throughout senior management, no communication..... Medical benefits were a joke......... lack of direction from the merchants, how about a little planning..........Marcus?

Communication from Management is Lacking

Pros

Some camping world locations are ok places to work. The pay is decent but sales can be challenging to make. The retail side makes decent wages for that line of work.

Cons

There should be more focus on training and less assuming people know everything about a job in a few days. Management needs more training in some locations. Pay more attention in ensuring customer satisfaction and less to selling as much as you can.

Pros

Can learn the basics of RV's very quickly. Store aspect is basically a typical retail environment.

Cons

Some locations are cooperatives...Retail store coupled with RV sales and service. Though they use the same name (Camping World) The service and sales side is actually a different company (Freedom Roads) under the same parent umbrella company Depending on the location you may be required to do EVERYTHING from operating a forklift to writing service repair orders or cleaning the bathrooms and you will receive NO additional compensation for doing any of it while you see and hear people on the service and sales side brag about how they are making 10 to 25k per MONTH. They also put heavy emphasis on selling memberships like the store buyers club, Good Sam, Camping clubs, even insurance and extended product warranties....which you will get small commissions from if your store hit's it goal. IF. Does not matter how well YOU do, the store must hit it's numbers.
