Good pay, and great people to work with.

Cons

(Deep breath) Upper management is extremely shady. Zero loyalty for long term employees. Company is stuck in a transition period. Since being acquired by APAX, upper management has been cutting its bottom end. With another sale eminent, I wouldn’t recommend employment.

Decent pay/benefits. Some good people still around.

Cons

Candela was running lean for years to hit an IPO in the fall of 2021. The IPO was pulled on the eve of the IPO with the champagne on ice ready to go. Since then, the company has been without a strategic plan for success “surviving” quarter to quarter, mostly missing targets. As a “leverage your assets (people) to the maximum” company, expect maximum stress for little benefit. Managers will let verbal abuse go on to the point where team members will break down in meetings. And since the IPO failed, who knows what the venture capital overlords will do to get their value out of this company?

Pros

Customers and great, working on systems is challenging and rewarding.

Cons

Extremely long work days with zero recovery days. Company is not growing service with sales or number of systems installed. I’ve worked 80 hour work weeks for years at other jobs, but at least they recognized the need for recovery and MADE IT HAPPEN.
