Pros

Good salary and healthy bonus scheme (10%)

Cons

Severe micromanagement (in the data and governance team) Team members will withhold information for 2 reasons, 1 so that they are deemed invaluable to the company and therefore untouchable with regards to employment. 2 - so that the new person in the team is always the scapegoat for when things go wrong. Management will go to HR over everything and my previous line manager had actively dismissed 6 employees within a 4 year period. He had tried this with me but I had enough evidence to prove otherwise and I left on my own accord whereas my predecessors didn't. Management and the company as a whole do not like change. Training is a farce and there are massive knowledge gaps within the organisation. There are politics within the whole organisation.

Pros

The people as individuals are great

Cons

Not clear progression path, no transparency on how to achieve the next level or view on role. Glass ceiling for women. No transparency on talent management. Not the place for someone who is ambitions and hungry.

Pros

- Good company benefits - Famous brand, the best products in market - Generally people are pleasant to work and super passionate for the brand which helps - Good work life balance if you are in the right team/department - Organisation is rich with talent and intelligent thinkers

Cons

Poor progression. The company has tried to address this and introduce programmes to foster an environment for progression but senior management haven't bought into the idea. Resulting in bags of talent leaving the organisation Lack of direction, strategy is unclear and has been communicated poorly for a number of years leaving many employees disengaged and wondering what am I actually doing here? Complete lack of trust between "employees" and senior management There is an "us and them culture" when it comes to employees seconded from head office in Tokyo with double standards and inconsistencies when it comes to pay and renumeration No diversity in senior management
