      Great company to work for

      Pros

      Good culture in the head office, and beautiful grounds. There is a great emphasis on developing the bright stars, but not so much on everyone else

      Cons

      There weren't really many cons to working for Canon UK. They rewarded success well, but needed to make more effort for the under-achievers.

      Pros

      Great benefits if you sell enough, not a single day looks alike, and being out of office a lot.

      Cons

      Not patient at all, they expect you to get your sales going from the first month. I was given a lot of potential clients, so I had to sit multiple hours with only cold calls. A lot of the salary is commission based and with only new customers to hunt down the salary wasn't too good since it can be hard to sell printers to new customers.

      Strong culture and plenty of ambition

      Pros

      There's a strong sense of culture, generally open, international and collaborative - certainly fewer egos and "ivory towers" than I have experienced in the past. Plenty of ambition and attempts to transform (3D printing, mixed reality etc): Recent acquisitions and transformation programs convey a sense that the company is evolving beyond it's legacy in cameras, copiers etc.

      Cons

      I was made to feel very welcome but you still see the silos like you'd expect with any large international corporation; For a technology brand, perhaps also an higher degree of conservatism than others.
