Pros

Some fun stuff to do and shipped reasonably widely. Good if you have ADHD and love consistently changing focus.

Cons

No focus at senior management level. Constantly jumping on the Next Big Thing without ever producing anything mature enough to ship and gain acceptance. Hoping for blind revenue wins without ever following through so uncertainty for company's future. Work-life balance nonexistent because everything always done in blind panic and rush before moving on to the next next next next next thing.

Pros

Work from home with a decent salary amongst great people doing mostly open source software. Good people can climb the latter but wont get a much better salary out of it.

Cons

Poor product strategy prevent the company from being profitable. Travel conditions suck: shared hotel rooms and economy class.

Pros

Schedule and location are flexible and, depending on the team, so are the focuses of your work

Cons

Shiny new projects and "technologies" seem to come and go without bearing any fruit
