Pros

The insurance team has a great onboarding and training program. The department stays busy regardless of the market because of how many clients they have accrued when the market was better. Management and leadership in the department was fantastic, they truly know how to help you grow as a professional while successfully running an agency within the company. The culture was great throughout the company, but the insurance department does a great job at going above and beyond in that aspect as well. If you are looking to gain sales or insurance experience I don’t think you’ll find a more enjoyable experience anywhere else.

Cons

Not much, an opportunity to earn commission would be nice to incentivize and reward hard work, however the compensation for an entry level insurance consultant is fair for the area and market.

Pros

Definitely some good people work here. Good product for mortgage and real estate. Had a great manager in one department. Culture is as good as you want to make it. Not a bad place to start a career. Prosperous when housing market is good.

Cons

Cyclical business due to following mortgage trends and the housing market. When the housing market's in a tough spot, you really feel the effects from slowing sales, layoffs, and loss in morale. Lack of promotional paths: Can only be promoted from an entry level roles such as closing consultant, client relations, or insurance consulting into being a loan consultant or real estate agent. Management pushes you into either path due to past success in a previous role, where job functions could require different skills from the role you were promoted from, and may not necessarily be the best fit for based solely on performance. Culture varies much differently depending on what market you work in. High turnover industry in a down housing market. Work/life balance can be a challenge for some positions as the housing market doesn't stop on weekends.

Pros

Hiring managers were kind during the interview process.

Cons

CapCenter created a Development Program for recent college graduates. After hiring multiple candidates, these individuals were told that the program was cancelled with less than two weeks notice. Many new hires were displaced by this short notice and a large amount of monetary loss was accumulated by those believing they had a job with CapCenter to begin within the next week.
