Pros

The company pitches itself well in the marketplace and attracts truly great talent. I enjoy most people I've been on projects with and consider my coworkers a large part of my social life.

Cons

- Extremely cliquey at the top - Deceptive hiring - many people brought in at lower titles and told there were less levels than Big 4 - Laughable pay - you can negotiate a decent salary but expect either no raises your entire time here or a cost of living every year. Bonuses are small. - Unclear direction on how to advance your career. There is no criteria on promotion so many people are told fake excuses and lose hope. - 100% staff augmentation work. Many people stuck for 2-4+ years in the same role. - You will hurt your career and image if you are too ambitious and ask to rotate projects or do not accept a project that is not suited for you - Leadership will not turn down a project, no matter how bad the work.

Pros

Decent work-life balance, but not nearly as nice as they advertise in their recruitment messaging. Solid pay and a positive community. Decent initiatives for further training and professional development

Cons

Roles on projects are driven exclusively by client need, so you may find yourself in a role counter to your career goals, or even what you were originally hired for. You are held financially accountable for your staffing and billable utilization (smaller compensation changes and bonuses for weaker utilization rates), even though you have no direct control over getting yourself staffed, which is frustrating.

You hit the nail on the head with your review’s title! Consulting isn’t for everyone and can sometimes be a difficult career to adjust to. We do our best in staffing our employees on projects that align to their skillsets and allow for growth opportunities. We encourage all of our employees to own their own careers and work with their coach, account manager, and our staffing team to help make their interests and skills known, and to provide the best opportunity for a well matched staffing. - Suzie Turner, Principal
