Pros

Capco is a consulting company with a difference, 100% focused on financial services, deeper competency than all the Big 4 and similar, clients that know us really value us. Lots of interesting and transformative work in the digital and data analytics spaces. Capco is a less known brand name, but is usually much more highly valued than the competition by those who know us well. Culture is excellent - entrepreneurial, edgy, informal.

Cons

Don't fall for the negative comments about staff augmentation. All large consulting firms do some staff aug, it's the nature of the business. Capco does many interesting projects, and some truly transformational ones. Work life balance can be a challenge, but depends largely on the client.

Thanks for your review, and we're delighted to hear that you enjoy working at Capco. We fully agree that Capco is unique in lots of ways, which is why many people choose to join. Our niche focus on financial services really sets us apart, while at the same time there are lots of interesting projects across a range of high profile clients. Our website provides some great examples of this - http://capco.com/capco-story/success-stories. Thanks for your continued contribution to the Capco team!

Great place for staff aug

Pros

There are some good people there.

Cons

Unfocused, hire at the senior level without a clear vision of their strategy. Clubby environment. Unprofessional. Firm has changed strategy too many times. Was recently acquired by a Private Equity firm, but have lost too many key resources. Unless you are starting out your career or you have no other options, steer clear.

Whilst we appreciate your comments around the fact that Capco has good people, we are disappointed by your other remarks. Capco has a unique culture, which is different to many other organizations, and certainly larger, more bureaucratic, hierarchical firms. Our working environment in some of our locations may appear less corporate, however, this does not make us less professional in any way. We remain 100% committed to serving our clients in the financial services industry, at the same time as ensuring our people have the opportunity to develop, progress and pursue their career aspirations. Capco's has recently been established as an independent enterprise, however contrary to your comments, feedback through different channels has shown us that our employees have a clearer understanding of the strategy and are excited by the opportunities ahead.
