Cons
Once again with this dire situation we are all faced with because of the corona virus manangment is completely overwhelmed and not creating a supportive environment. With the real fear we are all feeling it saddens me to say that I can’t take any comfort in thinking the people who are making the decisions will have nursing’s back. Their initial response was delayed and ignored information that was readily available- we kept being told the risk was very low for Massachusetts and cape cod- I fully realize no one had a crystal ball but even with new evidence mounting every day about Italy and other hit spots in the U S we were nit getting prepared and when questions were asked it was very clear we were not to talk about it and concerns were dismissed. The CEO is not a physician and possibly does not realize how criminally under qualified his management staff is or doesn’t want to know. He is universally thought to be out of touch at best - corrupt at worst . You can’t just focus on expansion and constructing new additions to a hospital while having no infrastructure to provide appropriate care to the patients in many cases. Someone needs to look into the complete lack of competent management at this organization. Peoples lives depend on it - board of directors and wealthy donors please wake up
