Pros

Great benefits and work life balance. Also, company culture is easy to buy into and keeps people friendly. There is an emphasis on retaining good employees that is so refreshing. This is a very stable company and a perfect match for someone looking to stay the next 20 years until retirement.

Cons

Very consensus oriented which can slow down progress or create seemingly useless bureaucracy. Long average tenure makes it difficult for rapid advancement.

Pros

Competitive compensation, benefits package second to none, very bright people in both management and non-management roles, professionalism and respect are highly valued. If you are looking for a work environment with professionalism, respect, and some very capable people, definitely consider Capital. The list could go on....

Cons

Road to upper-management is long. The culture is very conservative, so you must tread lightly.

Pros

The best reasons to work for this company are: Compensation Benefits Work-Life Balance Great offices (very bright)

Cons

The downsides of working here are: Very limited opportunities for growth and learning as new employee. Loyalty and tenure are more respected than new opinions. As a privately held company, there is no push for diversity. No female initiatives. Hardly any women at the top. Very homogenous staff. Very traditional-conservative and hierarchical (even with the marketing push for an "egalitarian" and "flat" structure) Little respect for new thoughts/ideas Teamwork is not encouraged Focus on research, research and more research, so new initiatives take too long to get off the ground
