I've worked at Capital One in San Francisco for almost 2 years now, and my time here has been incredibly good. The office space in SF is really impressive: 4 floors, multiple kitchens, user testing lab, ping pong, and game room, happy hour bar, and a very long etcetera. Colleagues are great too, having worked at other places, I can say Capital One is full of nice people willing to help out, and unlike other places, personal egos are not running the business. Unmatched flexibility, amazing work-life balance, really good opportunities to move sideways or up the ladder, managers trust on your craft and trips to other offices namely in NYC and Washington DC finalize an amazing package to join this great company.

Cons

As with any organization this size, expect a little bit of politics here and there. Nothing too bad, actually maybe better than some much smaller startups.

Anti-meritocracy: better performance results in poorer rating. Promotion is entirely politics-based.
