      Pros

      Clean , modern , climate controlled facilities . Good wage and benefits . CarMax works hard to promote a positive message . If you can tolerate the ever changing policy requirements and corporate culture that is required to perform at the levels expected , it can be a positive place to work .

      Cons

      Corporate culture has gotten quite overwhelming . Management can be poorly trained and lack focus . Although open door policies and the encouragement to reach out to management for assistance is encouraged , I personally found little assistance when it was needed most . If you work for CarMax I would recommend having a back up plan in place.

      Pros

      Coworkers are great (not including management) and you make a lot of money. You get a break for an hour.

      Cons

      When I was hired I was not told that you're not allowed to take time off for holidays. Management picks favorites, especially when making the schedule. Management is very condescending and rude. You have to buy your own shirts which are expensive. If you are a student they do not respect your schedule. Sales consultants are very disrespectful.

      Great pay if that's all you are looking for in a job.

      Cons

      Technicians are the only ones with job security. The longer you last the better your job security. Management is a joke and ultimately don't care about their people. Numbers don't lie the story doesn't matter. Working here is for the brainless and simple-minded.
