small commission compared to others in the industry, except the traffic for buyers or prospects are greater too and that makes more sales and less commission for each sale but increased income because of the way customers come into CarMax expecting to buy and at worse LOOK AROUND with their eye to buying. That equals out the commission overall, in my opinion.

Low competent mid-low level management team, lack of talent for innovation, awful IT infrastructure and staff, departments can be political but people avoid to admit it, little useful training for associate development, headquarter people get decent pay while doing nothing useful, store associates who contribute most directly to the company work hard but only being paid sadly
