Pros

This company truly cares about their team members from the on-site teams to the people at headquarters. It is a fun place to work and people are always willing to help you. Such a healthy work enviroment, they really stress not working to the point of burning out.

Cons

There is a big turnover rate with staff but that is to be expected because you are usually working with people in college.

It's true that turnover can be frustrating and even a little unnerving at times. I think though that if we as leaders on-site continue to show new team members the value of learning this industry, we'll be in pretty good shape. Keep leading, keep teaching, and know that you'll be able to look back one day at people who's lives you have changed through your efforts.

Pros

Overall CGM has been a fine place to work. They're the first company that I actually believes prioritizes promoting from within. They really do try to live their culture in everything they do. HQ communication gets an A++, especially during all the COVID-19. Cardinal does a great job at responding to complaints or concerns and I believe that they really try to make their team members feel important.

Cons

I feel that sometimes my direct supervisors are too hands off. Training wasn't great after the initial onboarding. One of my supervisors can get defensive when questioning why we do things the way we do, instead of listening and potentially improving the way things are done. There is not a lot of structure for monthly financial reporting, which can get frustrating.

Truly appreciate your using your voice here to add some color to your Cardinal story so far. You make some very good points here about pausing to really dive deep into the why of why we do certain tasks or reports. I think there's a valuable teaching moment in here for the cell teams that we will, of course, bring up in discussions. Keep speaking up and leaning in. Together, we'll do something great!

Pros

Cardinal is focused on giving you the resources you need to perform your job at a top-level. There is always someone there to assist in projects or to collaborate with. This is by far the best company I have worked for in the industry.

Cons

There are a few processes that are in the stone age and it seems to take a very extended vetting time to open up things the tools are capable of doing for us.

Absolutely valid feedback re systems and some shortcomings when it comes to things like process and reporting. Our leadership team has made it a priority this year to identify better ways to use the tools we have at hand to save us all time. Just so you know, the overall goal is to refine to the point where we can save 500k work hours as an organization before the end of 2020. This is going to free us all up to be able to continue to be the best operators in the country, and there's no way that will happen without YOU!
